Carinna, joins Darcy House as the Home Manager and brings with her 10 years experience of working in elderly care in Derbyshire and with a particular passion for dementia care. The resident’s happiness is at the heart of everything Carinna and her team offer, and she likes nothing more than to watch residents flourish and to be able to live happy meaningful lives within a warm and inviting homely environment. Carinna is looking forward to continuing to build links with the local community and setting up partnerships with intergenerational projects and community support networks.
Amelia joins the team at Darcy House as the Administration Manager and will often be the first person you come into contact with. Amelia brings a wealth of experience to her role including from the legal sector and loves interacting with a variety of visitors.
Adrian is our head chef here at Darcy House. Adrian’s philosophy towards the food is simple – make sure residents’ meals are an exciting event to look forward to, not just something they wait for.
With over 30 years of experience within various catering sectors, covering care homes, hotels, restaurants, and everything in between, Adrian has recently spent 7 years in Hong Kong, where he was the head chef at numerous establishments such as JPMorgan and Credit Suisse to name just two.
Adrian enjoys to getting to know your loved ones and giving them the dining experience they richly deserve.
Hayley commenced her career in care as a carer in the community over 20 years ago. She brings a wide range of nursing experience having worked in the NHS for the past 15 years. She has also specialised in trauma orthopaedics, diabetes and endocrine, spinal injuries and stroke and geriatric medicine. She has found her passion in elderly care and loves getting to know residents, particularly their life stories.
Samantha has been a qualified nurse for 4 years, and has previously worked in the community so has great knowledge of the local area and where we can take our residents for days out. She particularly enjoys providing catheter/palliative care to residents and ensuring they feel at home with us at Darcy House.
Bea has been a qualified nurse for 3 years and specialises in dementia care here at Darcy House. Her previous role was in a dementia unit, and she takes the time to get to know each resident on an individual basis to ensure she can provide the utmost levels of person-centred care.
Claire is our Head Housekeeper here at Darcy House Care Home, Matlock. Claire loves getting to know the residents and staff at our newly opened home.
